Armed Forces Day, Cardiff

Khandie is honoured to be asked to be the host for the 2011 Cardiff Armed Forces Day celebrations. With over 80,000 expected to attend plus numerous squadrons and regiments from HM Forces this is definitely her BIGGEST gig to date!

The event will take place Saturday 25th June at Cooper’s Field, Bute Park, Cardiff. This will be an action packed day to celebrate our prestigious Armed Forces both serving and veterans home and overseas. With ceremonies, displays, demonstrations and fabulous entertain this is going to be one heck of an amazing day. Khandie, a former serving member of the RAF herself, has taken this opportunity to heart and will pull out all the stops to ensure the best Armed Forces Day to date.

1000 – 1030  The Royal British Legion Band, Llanelli, perform in Cooper’s Field (South)

1015 – 1045  The Penarth Royal Supremes perform in the Moat

1100              The Form Up in the Castle for the City March

1130              The Parade steps off for the City March

1230 – 1300  Drumhead Service in the Cooper’s Field Arena

1315              Arena Displays start

1740 – 1800  Beating Retreat, Grand Muster and Sunset Ceremony

1500              Freefall Display by the Royal Navy Raiders Parachute Display Team

1545              2nd Field Gun Race by Sea Cadets from TS Cardiff and HMS Collingwood (VCC)

1600              Display by the 41st Foot Re-enactment Society

1620              Marching Display by the Regimental Band of the Royal Welsh
