These last few days have really taken their toll on me for a variety of reasons that I am sure one day I will go into. Be that I am prone to the odd spot of narcissism.
But just when I was about to crawl into my hole of despair for the night, I received an email. Not a weirdo writing my name in biro on various parts of his anatomy which has happened more times than I honestly want to remember…but instead it was my Google Alerts email. If you have yet to set this up for yourself I can strongly suggest you do. Basically you receive an email (weekly/daily/monthly you decide) and are informed of all Google alerted mentions of your name or what ever you want to be alerted about.
So back to my despair.
I was trawling through this email when one link made me smile. Sometimes you meet people who stick out in your mind for being wonderful. Not only is this person beautiful and cliche to say it both inside and out, she is also talented.
So this lovely writes a blog and mentioned me…. she wrote:
‘Khandie Khisses. This woman is always on the go! I haven’t had the pleasure of working with her this year but her online presence is a constant inspiration as someone who holds down a nine to five but is still one of the best in the game. I swear to god, she must never sleep! Plus, she is one of the nicest people in burlesque.’
Emerald Ace you have no idea how much those sentences have made me smile when I thought the world was pretty poop of late. Thank you. *salutes the lady*

Well she’s right… innit.
You are another example of someone who is not only good at what they do, but who believes in themselves enough to make others realise it too.

Hehe, I feel all shy now! I meant it though. Sometimes just knowing that other people are out there making it happen reminds me that I can keep going too when my morale is low. You always bring so much joy to what you do and it’s infectious! x
