So this was the weekend that I spent my time relaxing. Not one show performed at. A nice change and a quick look on twitter showed I wasnt the only performer taking it easy that weekend.

I spent alot of it doing random errands round the house and doing some mooching about the place where I live. This wont be an epic blog post so figured I would merely post some images of what I got up to and a few lines.

By the way if you are ever near Brick Lane head to The Diner for breakfast. Best Eggs Royale I have had in a while.

During my coffee break in Costa

I headed to Costa Coffee on Saturday just to get myself out of the house. Now admittedly I am not usually a Costa fan but this was the best place to sit in some quiet without too many people bothering me…until one man noticed what I was doing on my laptop and started talking to me. Thank god I was my usual polite self though. Turned out he was some big wig in the fashion sector and asked for my card as he was interested in showing my photos to his designer mates. Ok the cynic in me was not so impressed but after showing me his work there was little room in my head for anything other than overwhelming feelings of awesome! So watch this space.

Just as my laptop battery died I decided to pay my military friend’s grave a visit it being rememberance Sunday (and in the area). I took some photos of the rather downtrodded grave yard for you:

Poignant given that it was Rememberance Sunday soon
falling apart 🙁

I scarpered off before the weather turned too nasty and spent the rest of the day playing with my mates dog Oscar and chinwagging.

Sunday was a day of burlesque costume mending. Those pants werent going to mend themselves. Damn it. Oh how doesnt love a rhinestoned thong?….hahaha I even had time to go to Brick Lane with Sara and Kitten. We mooched about a few vintage shops, were verbally annoyed by anti-fur protestors despite not wearing any (Beyond Retro) and had lunch/booze and flooze. We even met up with the lovely Harlot who came into the pub looking every each the burlesque darling..whilst I was in brogues and a denim miniskirt (very uncool.)

I mean who doesnt want grizzly bear patterned bloomers in their lives (found in Beyond Retro)
We found Star Trek inspired vintage wear...Hello Spock...screw you Pichard. (Kitten and I...and no we didnt buy)

After much laughter back at Sara’s I collapsed into bed. Admittedly a weekend off proved more tiring than a weekend working…(if you count what I do as work).

Love

KK.
